Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of PicBook(picbook.app and the PicBook iOS app). By creating an account, subscribing, or downloading a book you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

PicBookgenerates personalized watercolor storybooks featuring a child's name you provide. Some books are free to download; the full catalog is available behind a paid subscription. We may add, remove, or change books at any time.

2. Accounts

You may use the free books as a guest with only an email; for the subscription catalog you sign in (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email magic link). You must be at least 18 (or your local age of majority). The service is for parents/guardians to use on behalf of their children.

Keep your sign-in method secure. You're responsible for activity on your account until you tell us otherwise.

3. Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are auto-renewable monthly at the price shown on the paywall.
  • Payment is charged to your iTunes/App Store account at purchase confirmation (iOS) or your card via Stripe (web).
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancel any time: iOS — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Web — your Account page links to the Stripe customer portal.
  • Refunds for iOS purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds for web purchases follow the policy disclosed at checkout.
  • No refunds for partial months or unused content.

4. Content licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and read the personalized PDFs you generate, for your own family's non-commercial use. You may print copies for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the PDFs commercially.

All illustrations, story text, and the PicBookbrand remain our property (or our licensors').

5. Acceptable use

Don't use PicBook to:

  • Submit names or content that are obscene, hateful, or harassing
  • Scrape, mass-download, or otherwise overload the service
  • Use someone else's email without permission
  • Reverse-engineer or interfere with the service

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.

6. Children

PicBookis a service for parents and guardians. Children should not create their own accounts. We don't knowingly accept registrations from children under 13 (or applicable local minimum). See our Privacy Policy for how we handle child-related data.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranty. We don't guarantee that generated stories are free of every imperfection, or that the service will be available without interruption. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits liability we can't legally exclude.

8. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from Settings (or by emailing us). We may suspend or terminate access for material breach.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email. Continued use after the change means you accept it.
